Representing: Mama Africa from the beautiful country of Kenya that gave to root the first Black President of the United States of America Barak Obama!
Education: I am a proud recent graduate of Bethel University with triple Bachelor of Arts in International Business,International Relations and Reconciliation Studies.
I will be pursing my masters in International Monetary Policy with an emphasis on 3rd world micro-finance at the prestigious New York University (NYU) in the fall of 2012!
Beauty of African Women: We as Africans women have redefined creativity and innovation. We are blessed with the ability to look around our grim environment and see opportunity. We are people of resilience and perseverance (Galatians 6:9).
We have the power and the will to do what must be done, including separation from our families to pursue an education and or work in name of better pastures for our families. We have the brains to be great business people who are amazing managers of our assets.
We have the ability of diversifying into new areas and territory to expand and grow. We just need the necessary tools to get there.
Platform: Ending extreme poverty through the EMPOWERMENT OF AFRICAN BUSINESS WOMEN: Eradicating extreme poverty in Africa by providing empowerment to African business women through micro-financing that will create sustainability and growth in their communities.
Giving the opportunity to those hard working women to grow and expand their businesses and/or trade which will lead to undoing the chains of poverty and creating opportunities for them, their families and others in their community as well.
This is true because true gratitude results in generosity. We as Africans pride ourselves in community and I believe community is the Key to our individual survival:When one benefits all benefits.
We have the ability of coming up with solutions that create empowerment,self-reliance,sustainability and dignity we just need a helping hand and not a handout.
In many travels not only in Africa but around the world,I have witnessed women who have been given the opportunity of a relatively small loan that have gone to transform themselves, their families, and their entire community while breaking free from the chains of poverty. This is why I believe together we can defeat extreme poverty in AFRICA in my life time!!!!
